Search multiple database columns

Quick note, when searching multilpe database columns, avoid using CONCAT I had a terrible time getting it work. Instead I used   where FN +' '+LN like <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_varchar" value="%williams%">

and EE_STAT not like 'T%'

I tried searching on the CONCAT field but jQuery did not like that for whatever reason. Using the following query I can now search with either the first or last name columns. This was done with jQuery multiSelect autocomplete. If anyone is intrested I will post a more complete version.

<cfquery name="findEmployee" datasource="HR_DATA" >
              select rTrim(LN) as ln ,rTrim(FN) as fn, rTrim(EE_NO) as ee_no,

rTrim(EMAIL) as email, rTrim(EE_STAT) as ee_stat, rTrim(cn) as cn
              from EE_MASTER
             where FN +' '+LN like

<cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_varchar" value="%williams%"> and

EE_STAT not like 'T%'
             ORDER BY fn ASC
          </cfquery>

          <cfdump var="#findEmployee#">
